Overdose Prevention Training Event
Dear Friends,
A quick note: I am hosting a Narcan (Naloxone) Training Event for later this month! I’d love to see you all there! Please RSVP because…I can never tell if we get 3 or 300 people to attend my events! Ok, the standard text I’ve sent to others:

Mark your calendars for a vital community event on May 31, 2024, at 6 PM hosted by Westminster Neighborhood Services, located at 2325 E New York St., Indianapolis, Indiana, 46201.
Join us for an essential training session aimed at equipping you with the knowledge and tools to prevent opioid overdoses in our community. In collaboration with the Marion County Public Health Department's Substance Use Outreach Services and the Near East Side Community Organization (NESCO), this event promises to be an empowering opportunity for all.
During the session, participants will receive comprehensive training on administering nasal naloxone, a life-saving medication. Naloxone works by quickly reversing the effects of opioid overdose, giving individuals the chance to seek further medical assistance. By learning how to use naloxone, you're not only saving the lives of strangers but also empowering yourself to potentially save the lives of loved ones.
Additionally, complimentary naloxone kits will be provided to all attendees, ensuring that you leave feeling prepared and empowered to make a difference.
Let's come together to learn, support one another, and take meaningful action to address opioid overdoses in our community.
